The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been responsible for designing the JEE Main syllabus and setting the exam pattern since 2019. Although the 2024 exam pattern is expected to remain similar to the previous year, a few changes are anticipated:

  1. Two sessions of the exam instead of four, with the first session in January and the second in April.
  2. Introduction of negative marking for both Section A and Section B.
