KEAM Eligibility

The authority has established various parameters for eligible candidates for the state-level common entrance test eligibility criteria. Candidates who fail to comply will be barred from taking the KEAM 2023 exam.

The KEAM 2023 eligibility criteria would be determined by the following parameters: age, KEAM streamwise eligibility, nationality, and KEAM native criteria.

A valid pass certificate in the class 12 examination is the minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in KEAM. Candidates who are OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) or PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) are also eligible to apply

For Nationality 

Unless otherwise specified, only Indian citizens are eligible for professional courses. The Overseas Citizen of India Cardholder (including PIO cardholder) is eligible for admission only against any Non-Resident Indian seat or supernumerary seat, but not against any seat reserved exclusively for Indian citizens.

Keralite:  A candidate of Kerala origin will be classified as a ‘Keralite’ and they will not, however, be eligible for communal/special/people with disabilities reservations or fee concessions.

For Academics

  • Candidates who have successfully completed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereunder, with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects and at least 45% marks in the above subjects combined are eligible for admission.
  • If the candidate has also not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science will be taken into account.

Age requirement

  • Only those candidates are eligible to appear for the entrance exam who have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2023. Candidates shall not be awarded any relaxation in the minimum age requirement. There is no upper age limit to apply for KEAM 2023.

Online Submission of Application: Online submission of application through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in is required to apply for admission to all the courses

Steps To Fill Up the KEAM Application form

Registration:

Registration for the application can be done through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in for admission to all the courses, and it is a one-time procedure. During the process, candidates will get a system-generated Application Number. Candidates are requested to enter their own password when demanded.

Fill Application:

At this step, all of the basic information required by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations must be filled in.

Application Fee 

At this step, the applicant must pay the application fee either online or through an e-challan.

Upload Images & Certificates

A recent passport-size photograph of the candidate and his or her signature, both in jpeg format and meeting the specified specifications, must be uploaded. Furthermore, all certificates and documents supporting the various claims made in the applications must be uploaded. Nativity proof, as specified, and proof of date of birth are required.

Print Application Acknowledgement Page

Following completion of the preceding step, the candidate should print the application acknowledgement page from the online application for future reference. A candidate will be considered for the entrance examination or admission only if he or she has provided the relevant certificates as proof of eligibility or in support of any claim for reservation, under any category.

KEAM 2023 Counseling

Candidates whose names appear in the CEE rank list after the announcement of KEAM results can participate in the KEAM counseling process. The KEAM counseling process consists of three rounds with one mop-up round. Applicants are assigned seats through KEAM counseling according to their preferences and seat availability in a particular institution and course. The centralized admission process for KEAM 2023 is referred to as counseling.

The Single Window System (SWS) will be used to distribute allotments to the various courses and colleges in the Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy/Medical streams in the state. This is an ‘Allotments through Online Submission of Options’ system. The willingness of a qualified candidate is one of the options.

Seats in Government/Aided/KAU/KVASU/KUFOS/Govt Cost-sharing/Private Self-Financing/Autonomous Colleges to be allotted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations are included in the CAP and are done in accordance with the allotment provisions.

(b) A relevant page of the SSLC or equivalent certificate demonstrating the date of birth (Mandatory)

(c) In order to receive weightage/reservation, the following students must upload the course certificate, duly filled out with the signature and seal of the Head of the Institution:

  • Students in their final year of Plus Two who studied Sanskrit as a second language.
  • Students in their final year of VHSE (Livestock Management), HSE (Dairy Farmer Entrepreneur course), HSE (Small Poultry Farmer course), and HSE (as per NSQF Agri. stream).
  • Candidates who have already completed the above Plus-two/VHSE course must upload the qualifying examination mark list.

(d) Certificate of Non-Creamy Layer for State Government Education Purposes

(e) In the case of SC/ST candidates, a community certificate from the Tahsildar

(f) Certificates to support any claim for a special reservation

(g) Inter-Caste marriage certificate from the Tahsildar concerned
