Eligibility Criteria 

Academic Qualification	Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination (or its equivalent) from a recognized board or university.
Mandatory Subjects	Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their 10+2 examination.
Additional Subjects	Candidates must have studied Chemistry and one additional subject such as Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship.
Minimum Marks	Candidates belonging to the General category must have obtained at least 45% marks in the above-mentioned subjects taken together. For candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), a minimum of 40% marks is required.
Bridge Courses	In case candidates have a diverse academic background, the universities may offer suitable bridge courses to ensure a level playing field and desired learning outcomes of the program. These bridge courses may include subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc.
Lateral Entry	Candidates who have completed a minimum of 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) may be considered for admission to the first year, subject to the availability of vacancies in the lateral entry scheme.

Counselling Process

1. Registration

• Admission Application Form: Applicants need to fill the Admission Application Form and make the payment of the applicable fees online. This should be done as per the admission notification schedule announced by the University. Please note that provisional registration alone does not guarantee admission, and candidates must submit the complete Admission Application Form as per the admission schedule.

• Online Form Completion: Candidates should complete the online admission application form by providing all the required information. It is important to upload a recent photograph in the appropriate box. Candidates are advised to review the entries carefully before submitting the form, as there is no option for editing after submission. After submitting the form, candidates should download and print a copy for their records.

• Photograph Specifications: Minimum size of 35x45 mm with at least 75% coverage of the candidate's face and head. A caption indicating the candidate's name and the date photograph was taken should be at the bottom.

• During the final admission application form submission, candidates are required to submit their choices for institutes and programs/branches in the order of their preference. There are many factors that are counted at the time of allotment of seat, the factors are the merit of the candidate, availability of seats, and preference selected by the candidate. There are 2 rounds of counseling through which a candidate will be allotted seats. The candidates who have been allotted seats have to download the seat allotment letter for admission in the institute. 

Freeze, Float & Withdraw

When a candidate is allotted a seat in the first round of counseling, they are presented with three options: Freeze, Float, or Withdraw. Each option carries its own implications and requirements.

1. Freeze: By choosing the Freeze option, the candidate signifies their acceptance of the allotted seat. To confirm their decision, they must pay an admission fee of Rs. 10,000 online. It is important to note that once Freeze is selected, the candidate cannot participate in further rounds of counseling. However, if they change their mind and wish to participate in subsequent counseling rounds, they must register again and pay a counseling fee of Rs. 2,000.
2. Float: Opting for the Float option also requires the candidate to pay an admission fee of Rs. 10,000 online. This option allows the candidate to keep their current seat while keeping the possibility open for a better seat in subsequent rounds.
3. Withdraw: Selecting the Withdraw option means that the candidate chooses to exit the counseling process. In such a case, the candidate will no longer be considered for any further seat allotments. If they wish to re-enter the counseling process, they must register again in a subsequent round.
