New Candidate Registration Process
- When a candidate clicks on the "Apply" button on the OJEE counselling portal, it redirects to New Candidate Registration and Sign-in Page. This page shall have entry for registering new candidates, signing in existing users, and recovering a forgotten roll number or password.
- Before registering, candidates must view the instruction page that contains eÍŹssential infomation about the eligibility criteria, fee structure, form submission procedures, and payment guidelines. After carefully reading the instructions and agreeing to them, candidates can proceed to register.
- Initially, aspirants have to click the "New Candidate Registration" link available on the public home page. Every candidates is allowed to register just once and the registration is available for all eligible candidates in all the rounds of counselling.
- During registration, the applicant shall input key personal details like Application Number, Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth which shall be verified with the rank data provided by OJEE. After verification is complete, the applicant shall choose a password to finish the registration process. This password along with Application Number shall be used for all future logins.
- The candidate will see a review page after submitting the registration form wherein he/she has to verify all details, it is necessary to check every information before final submission. In case of successful registration, both an email and SMS containing the Application Number will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.

- If a candidate forgets their password, they can reset it using two methods:
- Reset via Email Link: By entering their Application Number, the system will send a password reset link to the registered email address.
- Reset via OTP: The system sends an OTP to the registered mobile number, which must be entered correctly to proceed with setting a new password.
Subsequent Login and Candidate Home Page
- For future logins, use your Application Number and Password. Once logged in, you will be directed to your Candidate Home Page where you can complete the rest of the counselling process. Remember to log out after each session to prevent unauthorized access. Do not share your passwords as OJEE or NIC is not responsible for any misuse.
Completing the Registration Process
- After login, you have to complete the multi-step application form which includes entering personal details, qualification information, contact details and uploading required documents and images. After completing all sections, click on "Submit for Review" button. A final review page will be displayed for verification.
- Once verified, the candidate must click on "SAVE & FINAL SUBMIT". After this step, no further changes can be made to the application form. The updated candidate data will be used for the subsequent stages of choice filling and seat allocation.

OJEE Counselling for Other State Students
Other state students are eligible to apply for OJEE B.Tech counselling 2025, but with certain conditions and limitations. Non-Odisha candidates must have a valid JEE Main 2025 score to be eligible for B.Tech counselling. They are not permitted to appear for the special OJEE exam conducted for vacant seats. Other state candidates can secure admission only in private engineering colleges in Odisha. They are not eligible for seats in government engineering colleges. These candidates are considered under the Unreserved (General) category. OJEE Counselling Fee Refund Policy
OJEE counselling has several steps related to payment and refund. One of the main fee is Registration Fee which is ₹450. This fee is non refundable, once paid it will not be refunded under any circumstances.
For candidates who are allotted a seat they have to pay part admission-cum-seat acceptance fee. This fee is Rs. 5,000 for SC, ST, PwD candidates and Rs. 10,000 for General candidates. But this fee is refundable under certain conditions. The refund will be processed only if the candidate withdraws from the allotment within the specified withdrawal period as mentioned in the counselling schedule. If the withdrawal is done within this period the candidate will get refund of part admission/seat acceptance fee.
