Counseling Process

1. Online Registration:

Candidates need to create a password and register on the official MMMUT website. They will then log in using their user-id and password to proceed to the next step.

Filling of Information: 

Candidates enter their basic details, such as father's name, mother's name, and category, as displayed in the application form. It is important to ensure that the personal data is consistent with the information provided in the JEE Main-2022 application form.

Payment of Counselling Fee: 

After successful registration, candidates must pay the following counselling fees;

Uploading of Documents:

Once the counselling fee is paid, candidates need to upload all the required relevant documents online

2. Choice Filling:.

Candidates are required to fill the choices of their preferred courses and institutes in the order of preference.

3. Choice Locking:

Candidates thoroughly review the order of preference of their choices and make any necessary alterations. Once the choices are final, candidates lock them by submitting an OTP received on their registered email or mobile number.

4. Seat Allotment: 

The final locked choices of the candidates are processed centrally, and the seat allotment result is uploaded on the University Website.

5. Deposition of Confirmation Fee: 

Candidates who receive a seat allotment must take a printout of the provisional allotment letter and pay the complete confirmation fee of Rs. 40,000/- within the stipulated time mentioned in the allotment letter.

6. Branch Up-gradation: 

Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted branch freeze their allotment by giving consent at the time of payment of confirmation fee. Those who do not freeze their allotment will be considered for upgradation in further rounds of seat allotment.

7. Deposition of Remaining University Fee: 

Candidates need to deposit the remaining university fee after deducting the confirmation fee at the time of registration/reporting for the academic session.

8. Physical Document Verification at University: 

At the time of physical reporting at the university, candidates need to present their original documents for verification along with a set of self-attested copies.

Counselling Under Kashmiri Migrant Quota

All candidates called for Kashmiri Migrants counselling are required to personally appear at the University campus according to the counselling schedule provided on the university website. It is essential to bring the following original certificates/documents along with one photocopy of each. Please note that failure to comply with this requirement will result in non-participation in the counselling process, and the university will not be held responsible for any resulting consequences.

Please note the following fee requirements for the counselling process:

  1. Advance Fee: An advance fee of Rs. 10,000/- is required in the form of a crossed demand draft. This fee is refundable in case a seat is not allotted to the candidate. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of "Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur," and payable at Gorakhpur. The advance fee is to be deposited at the time of reporting.
  2. Counselling Fee: A non-refundable counselling fee of Rs. 1,000/- is also required in the form of an Account Payee demand draft. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of "Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur" and payable at Gorakhpur. This fee is applicable regardless of the seat allotment status and is to be deposited at the time of reporting.

  • Original Mark sheet of (10+2) or equivalent examination.
  • Original 10th (High School) certificate for proof of age.
  • Certificate of registration as Kashmiri Migrant issued by the Relief Commissioner, Jammu or Divisional Commissioner, Delhi to establish the status of the applicant as registered Kashmiri Migrant.
  • Proof of current residence such as Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Photo Identity Card issued by the Election Commissioner, Driving License etc.
  • Three passport size recent photographs identical to the on pasted on Application form.

Important Instructions for NRI Counselling Admission

Candidates called for NRI counselling must personally appear at the University campus as per the counselling schedule provided on the university website. It is mandatory to bring the following original certificates/documents along with one photocopy of each. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in non-participation in the counselling process, and the university will not be held responsible for any consequences.

  1. Original Mark sheet of (10+2) or equivalent examination.
  2. Original 10th (High School) certificate or equivalent as proof of age.
  3. Original Certificate obtained from the Indian Diplomatic Mission/Chancellery/High Commission, under their seal, confirming that the candidate or the person sponsoring them is a Non-Residential Indian (NRI) in that country. Please note that the absence of this certificate will result in the cancellation of the candidature.
  4. Original document/certificate clearly indicating the relationship of the candidate with the NRI, such as being a real brother, real sister, real son, real daughter, or children of real son/daughter or real brother/sister of the NRI.
  5. A letter from the NRI certifying that they are sponsoring the candidate and are willing to bear the educational expenses for the entire duration of the program.
  6. Three identical recent passport-size photographs, similar to the one pasted on the application form.
  7. Fee Requirements:
    • An advance fee of Rs. 10,000/- (refundable in case of non-allotment of seat) in the form of a crossed demand draft.
    • Counselling fee of Rs. 1,000/- (non-refundable) in the form of an Account Payee demand draft. Both demand drafts should be drawn in favor of "Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur," payable at Gorakhpur. These fees are to be deposited at the time of reporting.

Please note that the current tuition fee for NRI candidates is $7,000.00 (USD 7000) per year. Selected candidates must deposit the complete fee in the University within a week from the due date to secure their admission. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of admission.

Important Instructions for Admission to B.Tech. First Year

Candidates interested in seeking admission to B.Tech.-I are requested to prepare the following documents in advance:

  1. Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Seats: Candidates claiming advantage of TFW seats need to upload their parents/guardian income certificate issued after March 31, 2023.
  2. EWS Category Candidates: If applicable, EWS category candidates must provide a category certificate issued by the competent authority after March 31, 2023.
  3. OBC Category Candidates: OBC candidates must submit a category certificate issued by the competent authority and issued after March 31, 2023, as it is mandatory due to the creamy layer condition.
  4. SC/ST Category Candidates: SC/ST candidates need to provide a category certificate issued by the competent authority.
  5. Physically Handicapped Candidates: Physically handicapped candidates must upload a certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer. In case of any doubt, a medical board consisting of a general physician, orthopedist, and ophthalmologist may be referred to verify the claim.
  6. Armed Forces Category (UPAF) Candidates: Candidates belonging to the Armed Forces category should upload a certificate issued by the competent authority using the prescribed format. Priority should be mentioned in the certificate as per Government Order.
  7. Freedom Fighter's Category (UPFF) Candidates: Candidates falling under the freedom fighter's category are required to upload a certificate issued by the competent authority on the prescribed format, which can be found on the university website.
  8. Domicile Certificate for Candidates from States Other Than U.P.: Candidates who have completed their class 12th examination from states other than Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) must upload a Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.
