Barak Valley Engineering College (BVEC) is a state government engineering college located in Assam’s Barak Valley region. It is the first state government engineering college in the Barak valley region and it is the fifth state engineering college.
The college was established in 2009 by the Government of Assam and started its full fledged operation in 2017 under the purview of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. The college is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and technology. The undergraduate programs are Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering.
