Jorhat Institute Of Science & Technology Jorhat (JIST), formerly known as Jorhat Science College, is a premier engineering college founded by the Government of Assam in 1971. It is located on the outskirts of Jorhat in Sotai. JIST is Upper Assam’s first science college and Assam’s third state-run engineering college.
JIST is a recognized higher education institution affiliated with Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has also given the institute a ‘A’ rating.
