Counselling Process
1. Registration & Choice Filling
- Visit https://hbtu.admission.nic.in or www.hbtu.ac.in and register by paying the non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 2,500.
- Fill in your choice preferences within the given time slot.
2. First Round Results & Seat Allotment
- If you are allotted a seat, deposit the Seat Acceptance Fee of Rs. 75,000 (Rs. 40,000 only for SC / ST candidates)
- Choose to ‘FREEZE’ or ‘FLOAT’ your seat and If the candidate finalizes the seat he/she is required to deposit a balance Academic Fee of Rs. 60,000 or Rs. 95,000 for SC / ST candidates in the stipulated time period.
- Upload scanned copies of relevant documents for online verification.
- If the documents are in order, you can proceed with the counselling process.
- Failure to upload documents within the specified time will result in cancellation of your candidature.
- In case of improper documents, you will be given a chance to submit proper documents within the given time.
- Candidates who are not interested in continuing with the counselling process have the option to withdraw. By exercising the ‘WITHDRAWAL’ option during any round of counselling, Rs. 5,000 will be deducted from their Seat Acceptance Fee, and the remaining amount will be refunded. It is important to note that choosing this option will remove the candidate from the counselling process.
3. Second Round Results & Seat Allotment
If a seat is allotted in the second round, follow the same process as the first round, including the choice of ‘FREEZE’ or ‘FLOAT’, depositing the Seat Acceptance Fee, and document verification.
4. Third Round Results & Seat Allotment
- If a seat is allotted in the third round, deposit the Seat Acceptance Fee and choose ‘FREEZE’ or ‘WITHDRAW’.
- Upload relevant documents for online verification.
- The third round is the final round of regular counselling, and you can only choose to ‘FREEZE’ or ‘WITHDRAW’.
5: Additional Round of Counselling
- For candidates who did not find a seat of their choice or fresh candidates with JEE (Mains) 2023 scores, there is an additional round of counselling.
- Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,500 and register online.
- Offline In Campus (On the Spot) Counselling:
- If there are still vacant seats, an offline in-campus counselling session will be conducted at HBTU, Kanpur.
- Dates for this counselling session will be announced separately.
Please note that it’s important to adhere to the prescribed dates and times for each activity during the counselling process. Failing to take prompt action within the specified time may result in the cancellation of your allotted seat.
