Darbhanga College of Engineering is a government-owned engineering institution in Bihar, India, that was founded in 2008 by Nitish Kumar (Chief Minister of Bihar). The college is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. Previously, it was known as Jagannath Mishra Institute of Technology (JMIT). Darbhanga College of Engineering reopened in 2008 under the auspices of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU). It became a part of the AKU University in 2011.
