JCECE Counselling 2025 is a state level admission process, designed to enable students who have completed their 12th class to apply for admission in the B.Tech courses and counselling process is expected to start from July 2025. Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), will be conducting counselling to facilitates admission to both private and government engineering colleges located in Jharkhand. To participate in the counselling process, students need to have a qualifying score from JEE Main 2025. As of 2025, the JCECE Counselling process has approximately 16 engineering colleges and the total number of B.Tech seats available through JCECE counselling is approximately 3500.

Age LimitFor Engineering and Technology courses, the minimum age should be 17 years as of 1st July of the admission year. There is no upper age limit.
Educational QualificationFor Engineering and Technology courses: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)

  • Local Resident Certificate issued by C.O./ S.D.O. (Civil) / D.C. of Jharkhand State.
  • Caste Certificate issued by Circle Officer/S.D.O. (Civil) / D.C. of Jharkhand State (in case of taking the benefit of reservation). As per Letter No. 7/Ja.Ni. -03-13/2015 ka. 1754 dated 25.02.2020 of Deptt. Of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, G.o.J., Candidates belonging to BC – I & BC – II, have to submit/show the Caste certificate in which it should be mentioned that he/she belongs to the nonCreamy Layer. Those BC – I & BC – II Candidates, who do not belong to Creamy Layer, can only avail the benefit of reservation.
  • Income & Asset Certificate issued by C.O./ S.D.O. (Civil) / D.C. of Jharkhand State.
  • One passport-size photograph (made from the same negative of photograph uploaded at the time of filling up the online Application form).
  • Admit Card of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination – 2021 (if ADMIT CARD is lost then a copy of F.I.R. in this regard).

JCECE Counselling Fee Refund Policy

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has introduced a revised Security Deposit policy for candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech (Lateral Entry) programs based on the JEE Main 2025 results. The aim of this new policy is to minimize the number of vacant seats after the final round of counselling.

Non-Refundable Counselling Fee

The registration fee paid at the time of counselling is strictly non-refundable and non-cancellable under any circumstances. This means once a candidate has paid the counselling registration fee, it cannot be cancelled or refunded for any reason, including withdrawal from the counselling process.

Refund in Case of Duplicate Payment

In case a candidate's payment is deducted more than once for a unique registration, the extra amount will be refunded automatically within 7 working days. No action is required from the candidate’s end in such cases. However, if there is a delay in refund, the candidate can contact the JCECEB support team at noreply.jceceb@gmail.com or call 9263334546. The refund will only be processed after proper verification of the transaction.

Security Deposit Details

The security deposit will be adjusted against the admission fee of the college where the candidate takes admission. Candidates must pay the following amount based on their category:

Security Deposit Refund Rules
