Major Errors Detected in JEE Main Second Session Applications: The deadline for applications for the JEE Main April session is March 2nd, and applicants are facing challenges similar to those encountered in the previous session. The discrepancies surrounding JEE Main exam scores and percentiles have left students in a quandary, with no clear answers from the NTA.
Students are expressing concerns about the consistency of JEE Main exams across different shifts and are finding ambiguity even in the ongoing NTA response. Many have encountered significant difficulties during the application process for the upcoming Session-2 session, which could lead to various issues during counseling.
For students who have previously applied, there’s an option to modify their existing applications for the April session by logging in with their old application number and password and making the necessary adjustments, including opting for the Session 2 variant and paying the application fee.
According to experts, many students are opting to reapply for the JEE Main April exam as ‘new’ candidates due to changes in their category, self, or parent’s names. However, only minor corrections are permitted for those who applied in January, such as exam city, state of eligibility, mode, course, and academic details.
More than 40,000 applications have already been received for the April session, with the deadline approaching rapidly. Those who did not appear for the January exam could face a unique opportunity cost of approximately 13 lakhs.
There are also alternatives available for those with lower NTA scores in JEE Main. Experts mentioned that students who had their NTA scores in the first session will have additional options alongside the April exam, including applying to equivalent non-Indian engineering institutions.
Amidst the confusion and uncertainty, students are advised to carefully navigate the application process and stay updated with any further announcements or clarifications from the authorities.
