As the eagerly awaited Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2024 Session 1 is set to kick off on January 24, 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards for the examination. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download their admit cards from the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The admit cards are applicable for Paper 2A (B. Arch), Paper 2B (B. Planning), and the combined Paper 2A and 2B (B. Arch & B. Planning) examinations. Additionally, the NTA has also issued exam city information slips for candidates to ensure a smooth and hassle-free examination process.

About JEE Main 2024 Examination

The JEE Main 2024 for Session 1 will be held on January 24, 27, 29, 30, and 31, and February 1, 2024, at various exam centers across the country. Paper I will be in computer-based mode, Paper 2A will be in computer-based mode for Part I and II, and pen and paper mode for Part III. Paper 2B will be a computer-based test only.

To download the admit card, candidates are instructed to visit jeemain.nta.ac.in, open the admit card download tab, and log in with their application number and date of birth.

JEE Main 2024 Admit Card Live Updates: How to Download

  • Step 1: Go to the official JEE Main site: jeemain.nta.ac.in.
  • Step 2: Click on the JEE Main Paper 1 admit card link.
  • Step 3: On the next window, enter your application number and date of birth.
  • Step 4: Submit the details and download the JEE Main 2024 BTech admit card.

JEE Main 2024 Marking Scheme

In terms of the marking scheme for the exam, candidates are advised to be aware of the following:

  • Correct answers or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4).
  • Any incorrect option marked will result in a deduction of one mark (-1).
  • Unanswered or marked for review will receive no mark (0).
  • If more than one option is correct, Four marks (+4) will be awarded only to those who have marked any of the correct options.
  • If all options are correct, Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

The B.Tech/ B.E or Paper I examination will be conducted on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2024, in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Important Documents and Instructions for Exam Day

  1. Admit Card and Self Declaration (Undertaking): Candidates are required to carry their admit cards along with a Self Declaration (Undertaking), which can be downloaded from the NTA website.
  2. Transparent Ballpoint Pen: Candidates should bring a transparent ballpoint pen for marking their answers on the answer sheet.
  3. Extra Photocopy: An extra photocopy of important documents is necessary to paste on the attendance sheet.
  4. Personal Transparent Water Bottle: Candidates are allowed to bring a personal transparent water bottle to stay hydrated during the examination.
  5. Food for Diabetic Patients: Diabetic candidates are advised to bring tablets or fruits like bananas, oranges, or apples to manage their blood sugar levels.

Important Instructions for JEE Main 2024

  • Candidates are instructed to report to the examination center at least 2 hours before the scheduled commencement of the examination.
  • Upon opening the examination hall, candidates are required to take their seats promptly, and any delay may result in strict measures.
  • Candidates must sit at their allocated seats, and failure to do so may lead to the cancellation of candidature.
  • Using false details to appear for the exam in more than one shift or date will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s candidature.
