Admission Process
Step 1: Registration
After the declaration of JEE Advanced/ JEE Main results, candidates who qualify the exam need to register for the counselling process on the official website (click here). They must provide their personal and academic details and create a login ID and password.

Once registered, candidates need to fill their preferred choices of courses and IITs. They can select from the available options and arrange them in the order of their preference. It is important to carefully consider the choices based on their eligibility and interest. After filling the choices, candidates must lock their preferences before the specified deadline.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
Based on the choices filled by the candidates, their All India Rank (AIR), and the availability of seats, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the seat allotment process. JoSAA is the governing body responsible for coordinating the counselling and seat allocation for IITs and other participating institutes. Candidates are allotted seats in the respective courses and institutes, and the seat allotment result is announced on the official website.
Step 4: Reporting to the Allotted Institute
Candidates who are allotted seats must report to the respective IITs for further admission procedures. They need to complete the required formalities, including document verification and payment of fees.
