JEE Main Witnesses Record 96% Attendance: The ongoing JEE Main 2024 examination has set a new attendance record, with a staggering 96% of the 12.3 lakh applicants participating in the test. As the results are yet to be released, speculation is mounting that the cut-off marks for admissions might surpass those of the previous years.
The massive response to the JEE Main 2024, one of the country’s premier entrance exams, has created a new benchmark with the unprecedented number of applicants. The examination, which commenced on a grand scale, still has sessions scheduled for January 31st and February 1st. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will officially release the statistics post the completion of the examination.
Subodh Kumar Singh, the Director-General of NTA, disclosed that after the culmination of JEE Main, preparations will commence for the country’s largest medical entrance exam, NEET-UG 2024, and the University Entrance Test. Advisory committee meetings are set to discuss crucial decisions, and online registrations for NEET-UG are expected to kick off in February.
Emphasizing a strict vigilance on all examination centers, Singh assured that students encountered no issues during the test. NTA has announced February 12 as the date for releasing the results of the first phase of JEE Main. The second phase of the examination is scheduled between April 1st and April 15th, with the application process commencing after the announcement of the first phase results.
NEET-UG 2024, the nation’s largest medical entrance exam, is expected to begin its online registration process soon after. With a registration process for CUET-UG also in the pipeline, the examination is slated to take place between May 15th and May 31st, 2024. Advisories and key decisions are anticipated to be discussed in the upcoming advisory committee meeting for CUET-UG.
