The National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared an important update about the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam. This update is especially relevant for students who have passed Class 12 and appeared for the exam. The result declaration and final answer key release dates have now been officially confirmed through an NTA tweet.

Final Answer Key to be Released on 18 April
NTA has confirmed that the final answer key for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 will be uploaded on the official website on 18 April after 2:00 PM. Earlier, the answer key was removed from the website, which caused confusion among students. Now, NTA has cleared the air and announced the correct schedule.
This updated final answer key is expected to include revisions. NTA had earlier released a version of the final answer key where 11 questions were changed. But due to ongoing doubts and multiple challenges raised by students, NTA has decided to review and release a revised version.
JEE Main Result Date: 19 April 2025
As per the latest tweet by NTA, the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 result will be declared on 19 April 2025. However, the exact time for the result declaration has not been mentioned. Students are advised not to keep checking the website frequently today, as the result will only come tomorrow.
Why the Delay in Result?
Many students were expecting the result by 17 or 18 April. But due to doubts on some questions and last-minute corrections, the result had to be postponed.
According to reports, several questions in the exam were unclear or disputed. Students and coaching institutes raised objections, and NTA took the step of reviewing these questions to maintain fairness. That is why the result was delayed.
What Should Students Do Now?
If you are one of the students waiting for your result, here is what you should focus on:
- Check the final answer key on 18 April after 2 PM.
- Match your responses with the new answer key to estimate your score.
- Wait for the result on 19 April. Avoid refreshing the website again and again.
- Stay prepared for the next steps, whether it is JEE Advanced registration or JoSAA counselling.
What Happens After the Result?
Once the JEE Main result is declared, students who qualify will have two main options:
- JEE Advanced 2025: If you qualify, you can apply for the JEE Advanced exam for admission into IITs.
- JoSAA Counselling: Students who do not appear for JEE Advanced can apply for admission into NITs, IIITs, and other engineering colleges through JoSAA.
In addition, many state-level counselling processes for engineering also accept JEE Main scores.
