CUSAT CAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech Marine Engineering

  • Qualification: Candidate must have passed Plus two exams of the State of Kerala, or any other examination accepted as equivalent.
  • Subjects: The candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English subjects.
  • Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks and a minimum of 50% marks for Mathematics only. (No relaxation for SC/ ST).
  • Age Limit: The maximum age limit will be 25 years as of 1st September of the admission year.

For Admission in Various courses such as B.Tech / Integrated MSc / BBA LL.B / B.Com LL.B / B Voc programs through the CUSAT CAT examination candidate must visit the Official website of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) on https://admissions.cusat.ac.in/

The Details Of Step Wise Admission is given below

 STEP 1 – Registration

Submit your information by clicking the “NEW CANDIDATE REGISTRATION” button. All fields are required. Following the submission of information, an activation link will be sent to the candidate’s email address. Once an email account has been used/activated, it cannot be used again. The user account will be activated after clicking the activation link (found in the email inbox). The candidate’s email address will be used as the user name.

All emails and admission-related notifications will be sent to the registered e-mail address and mobile number. Similarly, the applicant should check his mobile messages and e-mail inbox daily for university suggestions until the university admissions process is completed. 

If these are forgotten or misplaced, the University will not be held liable for their recovery if applicants approach the University. The University does not respond to such inquiries. As a result, the applicant / applicants bear sole responsibility in this regard.

STEP 2 – Personal Details and Reservation

Then press the Start Registration button. Fill out the form with all of your personal information. If you have any doubts, please read the relevant section of the prospectus again. If a Candidate wants to claim a special reservation, they must first select it in the left list box and then move it to the right box using the select’ button.

STEP 3 – Photo and Signature

Upload a recent passport-sized portrait photograph of yourself in portrait orientation, with your well-lit face clearly visible. Your photograph’s file size should be no more than 500kb. The photo should be 150px X 180px in size.

Upload a landscape-oriented scanned image of your signature with a file size of no more than 100kb. The size should be 130px X 57px. Image formats include.png,.jpg, and.jpeg.

STEP 4 – Programme Selection 

  • Choose a program or a combination of programs from the dropdown list. For example, if a candidate wishes to apply for undergraduate programs such as B.Tech / Integrated MSc / BBA LL.B / B.Com LL.B / B Voc, they must select the Undergraduate Programme. Candidates who wish to apply for Postgraduate programmes and MBA programs should choose their courses carefully.
  • Next, choose whether you are going to obtain or have already obtained the qualification. A list of university programs will be provided based on the qualification you have chosen. The candidate should use the select button to add the program(s) to the right-side list box. Then press the “Confirm Courses” button.
  • Details of Test codes will be displayed after you confirm your courses. A candidate must take a test on one of the test codes shown that corresponds to the chosen course. Section 8.2 contains information on each test code. There may be multiple test codes available for a course; the candidate must choose the appropriate one from the options displayed based on their qualifications. Then press the “Confirm Tests” button.

STEP 5 – Short Preview

  • A brief preview will be available after submitting course information. The candidate should carefully review the brief preview. If a change is required, go to the appropriate page, make the necessary changes, and save the changes.
  • Please keep in mind that once you’ve confirmed the short preview, you won’t be able to return to the previous menu.
  • After successfully submitting the application forms, applicants will be given permission to edit the personal and course details entered in the application form only once before the application deadline.

STEP 6 – Payment

After confirming the preview, the application fee must be paid online. Payment can be made using any credit or debit card, as well as almost any bank’s net banking service. You can now check the test center’s availability. Please keep in mind that the availability of the centers is only indicative and subject to change during the center selection process. Only successful payment of application fees will complete the application process for MBA/M.Tech programs.

STEP 7 – Centre selection

Following successful payment completion, a list of available centers will be displayed. The candidate should choose one of the available test centers.

Following Centre Selection, a final preview will be displayed, and the candidate will be directed to his or her home page. The University will verify and confirm the details of your application. This could take a few days to complete. The candidate can view and download the confirmation page from the candidate home page after approval. The candidate home page displays the status of the candidate’s application.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Counselling Process

Under CUSAT CAT counselling 2024, candidates must complete the following steps. –

Step 1: Registration

Candidates must first register by logging into their CUSAT CAT 2024 candidate account with their CUSAT CAT 2024 user Id and password. Candidates are required to fill out the form completely.

Step 2: Option Filling

Once the candidates have registered, they are required to fill in their choices of institutes and courses by logging in to the candidate account. Candidates were advised to fill maximum choices in order to increase the chances of seat allotment. Candidates had to lock their filled choices before the last date. If a candidate fails to lock his/her choices, it is locked automatically by the system. Candidates must note that no modifications can be made to the choices once they are locked.

STEP 3: Seat Allotments 

The authorities will announce the results of the CUSAT CAT seat allotment for rounds. It should be noted that the final seat allocation for CUSAT CAT 2024 will be based on the applicants’ ranks, the number of seats available, and the choices they have locked in. All candidates can access their CUSAT CAT seat allocation results online. Applicants who are assigned seats must report to their assigned institutes for seat confirmation and payment of fees. Candidates must obtain a copy of their seat allocation letter from the official website.

Step 4: Payment of fees

After the CUSAT CAT seat allotment 2024 result is announced, candidates must confirm their allotted seats by paying admission fees. It should be noted that candidates must pay the admission fee within the time frame specified. If a candidate fails to pay the fees within the deadline, his or her seat will be forfeited.

Final Step: Reporting to the Designated Institute

After paying the fees, candidates must report to the allotted institutes on time. Candidates must report to the centers with their seat allocation letter and original documents. Applicants should bring two sets of photocopies of their original documents to the verification process.
