In 23 IITs across the country, 366 seats have been increased. This year, 16598 IIT seats will be available for enrolment. Last year, 16232 seats were available.
This information has been made available on the IIT-NIT Joint Counseling (JOSA) website. Similarly,
980 seats have been increased to TripleIT and 681 seats have been increased to GFTI. As a result,
2024 seats have been increased this year, 1490 of which are from the gender neutral pool and 534 from the super numerical female pool.
Students will be admitted to the country's Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced).
This is good news for students who desire to study for IITs in the country.
